Description

Nanakorobi Yaoki. Fall seven times, stand up eight. During the Edo period, Daruma became a symbol of perseverance and personal commitment. Tradition says you paint one eye when you set a goal, and the second only once you achieve it. It is not a symbol of luck. It is a constant reminder. Falling is expected. Getting back up is a choice. Here it becomes a woven iron-on patch, ready for any jacket, cap or bag.

  • 7×7 cm woven patch, rounded corners, iron-on backing.
  • 100% polyester, damask woven on Jacquard looms. OEKO-TEX certified production.
  • Manufactured with integrity and care at our maker’s factory in the Pearl River Delta, in China.
  • How to apply: set the iron to cotton, no steam, and check the garment can take the heat. Cover the patch with baking paper, press for 15–20 seconds moving the iron slowly, and wait 2 minutes before lifting the paper.
  • Let it set for 24 hours before the first wash.
  • Cold wash only. Do not tumble dry, dry clean or bleach.
How to apply

Check first that the garment can take the heat of an iron — cotton and denim are ideal.

Set the iron to the cotton setting, with no steam. Place the patch where you want it, cover it with baking paper (not wax paper), and press for 15–20 seconds, moving the iron slowly. Wait about 2 minutes before lifting the paper.

Give the adhesive 24 hours before the first wash. Cold cycles only: no tumble dry, no dry cleaning, no chlorine bleach. The bond also depends on the fabric — for heavy use, a few stitches around the edge will keep it there for good.
